Web2 efficiency app giant Notion announces acquisition of Web3 collaboration tool platform Skiff

ChainCatcher news reports that, according to official sources, the Web2 efficiency app giant Notion's management team met this week with Andrew Milich and Jason Ginsberg, co-founders of the Web3 collaboration tool platform Skiff. The Skiff team has now been integrated into Notion, becoming part of the latter.Notion's Chief Operating Officer Akshay Kothari stated that Notion attempted to reach out to Skiff at the beginning of its establishment and has been closely monitoring Skiff's development. In fact, Skiff's current office in San Francisco was once an early workspace for the Notion team. Skiff co-founder Andrew Milich mentioned that the visions and values of Notion and the Skiff team are highly aligned, and joining Notion will help Skiff become a better company.It is reported that Notion was launched in 2016, and as of October 2021, Notion was valued at $10.3 billion, with user numbers surpassing 30 million in 2022 and paid users exceeding 4 million. It has long been featured on the App Store's recommended apps list and holds the top position in the productivity app category.According to the crypto data platform RootData, the Web3 collaborative application Skiff completed a $10.5 million Series A funding round in March 2022, led by Sequoia Capital, with other specific funding details not disclosed. The funds from this round are planned to be used to enrich its product features, allowing users to share a wider variety of data on its platform.
