Metaplex announces that its latest NFT standard, Core, is now live on Devnet
ChainCatcher news, Solana ecosystem NFT platform Metaplex announced that its latest NFT standard Core has now launched on Devnet. Core is based on the Metaplex team's experience in creating the first Solana NFT standard in 2021, aiming to eliminate complexity and provide a simplified specification for digital assets, significantly reducing costs and simplifying the developer experience. Core is specifically designed for NFTs, storing all key data in a single on-chain account, greatly simplifying developers' work while reducing network burden and enhancing Solana's operational efficiency through a single account model. The flexible plugin system introduced by Core allows users to extend the functionality of Core assets without waiting for standard updates, opening up vast possibilities for customization, from built-in staking to asset-based point systems. The Metaplex developer platform will fully support Core, with seamless integration with tools like Candy Machine, DAS, Umi, and Amman expected on the first day of Mainnet launch next week.Additionally, Metaplex announced on social media that it will allocate 50% of all protocol fees to purchase MPLX and send it to the Metaplex DAO, including all historical and future fees.
