Solana NFT infrastructure Metaplex announces layoffs

ChainCatcher news, Solana NFT infrastructure Metaplex CEO Stephen Hess announced layoffs on Twitter early this morning, but did not disclose the specific scale of the layoffs. He stated, "While our financial situation has not been directly impacted by the FTX collapse, the indirect effects on the market are significant, which requires us to take a more conservative approach moving forward." He also mentioned that Metaplex plans to focus on several key initiatives: royalty enforcement, creator studios, integration, compression, and the continuous improvement of development tools and SDKs.

Previously, at the Solana BreakPoint conference held in Lisbon a few days ago, Metaplex reached a partnership with Beeple to promote the latter's entry into the Solana on-chain NFT market. (Source link)
