BitMEX Research: The court has rejected Craig Wright's appeal in the COPA case

ChainCatcher news, BitMEX Research posted on platform X that the court has rejected "Satoshi Nakamoto" Craig Wright's (CSW) appeal in the case against the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA). If CSW wishes to pursue this case further, his only option now is the UK Supreme Court. After CSW's defeat, the court subsequently issued several injunctions against CSW, prohibiting him from taking or threatening legal action on the grounds that he is Satoshi Nakamoto;Despite the injunctions, CSW appears to have violated this provision by initiating a large-scale lawsuit in the UK against Bitcoin developers and over a hundred cryptocurrency companies. He is suing for over $1 trillion, and in the new case, CSW still claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto;COPA subsequently claimed that this new case violates the injunction, and the case has been put on hold until a determination is made. If the case indeed violates the injunction, it may be dismissed;A one-and-a-half-day hearing will be held in London on December 18, 2024, to determine whether the injunction has been violated and whether CSW is in contempt of court. This Wednesday, the judge ordered CSW to attend the hearing in person.Currently, there is significant uncertainty regarding whether CSW will attend the hearing or continue to hide in the Far East. In any case, we predict that he will not attend. His absence may be viewed unfavorably by the judge.
