A U.S. jury has determined that two suspects were involved in an $8 million darknet drug scheme related to cryptocurrency
ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, a federal jury in Salt Lake City, USA, has found Oluwole Adegboruwa and Enrique Isong guilty of multiple drug-related charges. From 2016 to 2019, they generated over $8 million in cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. Adegboruwa operated under the names "King Odua" and "Alagbada726," converting cryptocurrency into traditional currency.It is reported that sentencing is scheduled for August. The jury also ordered the forfeiture of Adegboruwa's $380,396 in cash, a 2017 Dodge Charger, 26 checks totaling $9,400, and over $15 million in cryptocurrency.
