Binance Charity plans to airdrop a total of 1 million USD in BNB to users in the earthquake-affected areas of Taiwan
ChainCatcher news, according to the official blog, Binance Charity will airdrop up to $1 million in BNB to users in the earthquake-affected areas of Taiwan. User verification will be based on their KYC (Know Your Customer) or POA (Proof of Address) information, indicating that they reside in the most severely affected Hualien County. Users who complete KYC or POA in the Hualien County area before April 5, 2024, will receive $120 in BNB directly to their Binance accounts. Additionally, existing users in the region who register before April 5, 2024, and complete POA between April 5, 2024, and April 20, 2024 (inclusive), will receive a direct donation of $25 in BNB to their Binance accounts. These funds are expected to start reaching eligible users on April 8, 2024.Binance CEO Richard Teng stated, "We are deeply saddened by the impact of the recent strong earthquake in Taiwan. We hope to extend a helping hand to those affected. For those who receive donations but were not impacted by the earthquake, we also encourage them to pass the funds on to those who truly need it."
