The online upgrade of the test network has been completed, making the network more stable and user-friendly.

CESS is a decentralized data infrastructure, based on a blockchain decentralized cloud storage network and CD²N network, supporting online data storage and real-time sharing, providing a full-stack solution for the storage and retrieval of high-frequency dynamic data in Web3.

CESS Network is a Layer 1 built on the DePIN concept, featuring decentralization, efficiency, security, privacy, and scalability. CESS supports large-scale commercial storage and can accommodate phenomenal decentralized applications (dApps); CESS supports the monetization of data and the free flow/sharing of data value, while achieving user data privacy protection and data sovereignty returning to data owners in a trustless manner, thereby constructing a prosperous, diverse, and sovereign data asset economy new ecosystem.

Important Submissions, Modifications, and Releases

Blockchain Network

The CESS testnet has been updated to version v0.7.9-venus, consisting of consensus nodes and storage nodes. Consensus nodes maintain the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serve as "data certification stations" in the CESS network (by TEE Node). Storage nodes are responsible for providing verifiable storage space and act as "data storage pools" in the CESS network. Here are the progress updates for this month:

1. Consensus Nodes [v0.7.9-venus]

  • Completed online upgrades and multi-block migration testing for consensus nodes in the development network;

  • Fixed the issue of EVM contracts not running after upgrading the CESS chain substrate framework;

  • Fixed the issue of clients failing to read contract events after upgrading the CESS chain substrate framework;

2. Storage Nodes [v0.8.1]

  • Completed large-scale user file upload stress testing for the new version of storage nodes;

3. TEE Nodes [v0.7.9-venus]

  • Implemented a customized version of the TEE Node, used to recover abnormal idle space proof states in the testnet;

  • Completed the migration of TEE Node to the production environment;

Products

CESS is committed to providing practical storage services and CD²N services for Web3, meeting large-scale commercial storage needs, achieving millisecond-level data retrieval and return. CESS has pioneered decentralized object storage services (DeOSS), and the product ecosystem of the CESS network is gradually becoming rich and prosperous, currently incubating innovative applications such as online file sharing tools (DeShare), public chain snapshot storage services, and CESS cloud storage. We welcome you to experience them. Here are the progress updates for this month:

1. Object Storage Service (DeOSS)

  • Fixed the issue of go-sdk being unable to parse block transaction data after the online upgrade of the CESS chain;

  • Optimized the startup order and interaction logic of various containers in the CD²N main node, enhancing the stability of node operation;

  • Improved the user authentication mechanism of the CD²N main node gateway module, supporting dual verification for CESS and Ethereum wallet accounts;

  • Optimized the visualization deployment script for the CD²N main node, simplifying user configuration file settings;

  • Completed data transmission testing between the CD²N main node and L2 layer nodes;

  • Completed operational testing of the CD²N network, with stable operation of various network modules and normal data transmission;

  • Optimized the multi-level caching strategy between the CD²N main node and L2 layer nodes, improving the response speed of data distribution;

  • Completed the development of the running script for CD²N L2 layer nodes;

2. Blockchain Explorer (CESS Scan)

  • Fixed the issue of CESS Scan browser being unable to parse block events after the online upgrade of the CESS chain;
