2024.12.30~2025.1.5 CESS , a decentralized data infrastructure, is a blockchain-based decentralized cloud storage network and CD²N network that supports online data storage and real-time sharing, providing a full-stack solution for the storage and retrieval of high-frequency dynamic data in Web3.

CESS Network is a Layer 1 built on the DePIN concept, featuring decentralization, efficiency, security, privacy, and scalability. Overview

This week, the upgrade testing of consensus nodes in try-runtime has been completed, and the new version will soon be online upgraded in the testnet; this week, the script deployment and containerized operation testing of each node in the CD²N network have been completed, and the CD²N network is about to unveil its mystery; this week, the TG mini-program version of DeShare and the TG points acquisition mini-game have been implemented, and the trial version has been pushed out for you to experience!

1. Blockchain Network

The CESS testnet v0.7.7 version consists of consensus nodes and storage nodes. Consensus nodes maintain the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serve as the "data certification station" (by TEE Worker) within the CESS network. Storage nodes are responsible for providing verifiable storage space and act as the "data storage pool" in the CESS network. Here are the progress updates for this week:

Consensus Nodes [v0.7.8]

(1) Completed the upgrade testing of consensus nodes in try-runtime;

(2) Fixed the issue of TEE Node failing to validate the storage node service file filter;

2. Products

CESS is committed to providing high-frequency dynamic data storage services and CD²N services for Web3, meeting large-scale commercial storage needs, achieving millisecond-level data retrieval and return. CESS has pioneered decentralized object storage services (DeOSS), and the product ecosystem of the CESS network is gradually becoming rich and prosperous. Currently, innovative applications such as online file sharing tools (DeShare), public chain snapshot storage services, and CESS cloud storage have been incubated. Here are the progress updates for this week:

Object Storage Service (DeOSS)

(1) Completed the development of the visualization deployment script for the CD²N main node;

(2) Fixed the issue where the CD²N main node could not establish an effective connection with the local container of the CESS chain RPC node;

(3) Completed the containerized deployment and operation testing of each node in the CD²N network;

Online File Sharing Tool (DeShare)

(1) Implemented the TG mini-program version of DeShare, allowing users to easily share files with friends;

Official Website (cess.network)

(1) Completed the development of the TG mini-game and the official website points redemption page, where users can redeem CESS with points earned from the mini-game;

(2) Completed the upgrade of the Merkle event quiz task, allowing users to review incorrect answers and corresponding standard answers after submitting their quizzes;

Cloud Storage Tool (DeCloud)

(1) Completed the development of the first comprehensive application of CESS's official cloud storage, DeCloud;

CESS Community Operations

CESS Testnet Progress

(1) According to data from CESS Scan (https://scan.cess.network/), as of January 5, the CESS testnet v0.7.7 Venus version has been released for 158 days, with the total number of successfully registered storage nodes exceeding 8045, and the number of consensus nodes being 22, providing a total storage space of 57.40 PiB, with verified storage space of 44.39 PiB; if test users encounter issues during the node construction process, they can seek help in the CESS official Discord (https://discord.gg/cess).

(2) The latest incentive testnet Venus has officially launched on July 31, 2024! The incentive activities for the testnet are ongoing, and participating storage node testing will earn points that can be redeemed for mainnet CESS Tokens. The total incentives will be determined based on the effective storage capacity of miners at the end of this version of the testnet. (3) The CESS 2024 Annual Report has been released! Report highlights: CESS has made significant progress in industry standardization, DeSci, DePIN, and AI fields; the CESS testnet has broken several milestones in user numbers, node counts, and transaction volumes; products such as CESS DeOSS, CESS Scan, DeShare & DeCloud, CESS Light Wallet, and CESS AI-LINK have achieved remarkable results; the CESS ecosystem continues to build in areas such as community member growth, developer education, ambassador programs, and global expansion. Meng has 18 years of work experience in the Middle East, 10 years in the Malaysian financial industry, and 8 years in the crypto space.
