The establishment of the IEEE P3233 standard provides norms and benchmarks for the continuous innovation of decentralized storage technology, helping to further promote the widespread application of centralized storage technology to meet the needs of the next generation of value internet development. To accelerate the development of IEEE P3233, the main agenda of this release conference includes:

- Establishment of the IEEE P3233 Distributed Storage International Standard Working Group

- Introduction to the background of the IEEE P3233 Distributed Storage International Standard

At this release conference, CESS will act as the initiator and organizer of the IEEE P3233 protocol, jointly inviting innovators and builders from the decentralized cloud storage industry to participate, and promote the formulation and improvement of the industry's first decentralized cloud storage protocol standard.

In this process, CESS will leverage its innovations and contributions in decentralized cloud storage and decentralized content delivery networks (CD²N) to contribute to the standardization and normalization of the industry, accelerating the growth and development of the sector. "Standard Background In February 2024, IEEE C/BDL P3233 "Standard for Blockchain-Based Decentralized Storage Protocol Specification" was officially approved by IEEE SA, indicating IEEE's commitment to promoting the standardization and normalization of distributed storage technology and showcasing IEEE's leadership in enhancing interoperability among technologies and fostering technological innovation. This standard is chaired by CESS Lab. Significance of the Standard The IEEE P3233 standard will provide benchmarks for distributed storage technology and establish norms for projects that meet industry requirements, possess innovative capabilities, and have sustainable development potential. This will not only help promote the widespread application and development of distributed storage technology but also meet the needs for data security, privacy protection, and efficiency management, enhancing the quality and efficiency of the entire industry, ensuring the continuous healthy development and innovative vitality of the industry.

At the same time, the formulation of the P3233 standard will further strengthen the connection between distributed storage technology and traditional Web2 technology, promote interoperability among technologies, and drive the maturity and expansion of the distributed storage ecosystem and business models. To advance the standard development, we are currently recruiting member units for the P3233 standard working group and holding a launch meeting. Relevant information is as follows:

Requirements for Participating Units

(1) Participation Requirements 1. Participating units must join IEEE SA as Entity Members; 2. Participating personnel should be familiar with distributed storage-related business and be able to actively undertake and cooperate in completing the tasks assigned by the standard drafting group; 3. Participating personnel should be familiar with the standardization workflow, have relevant experience in the formulation and revision of international standards, and possess good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

(2) Obligations 1. Able to participate in all standard drafting work meetings, actively participate in various seminars related to standard drafting, and complete the tasks assigned by the standard drafting group on time; 2. Able to share outstanding achievements in relevant standard technical methods, providing references for the standard drafting group; 3. Actively provide feedback during the standard drafting process.

(3) Time Requirements Interested units wishing to become standard contributors should submit the "Contributor Application Form" by August 28 (information can be filled out by scanning the shared QR code of Tencent Documents).
