ChainCatcher message, Yearn officially announces that yETH has been officially launched. yETH can be understood as an index token based on liquid staking derivative tokens (LST) such as stETH, rETH, cbETH, allowing users to diversify their ETH staking exposure across multiple different staking protocols through a single exposure.

ChainCatcher news, according to the Snapshot page, the yield aggregation protocol Yearn community has initiated a vote for "YIP-72: Launch yETH". This proposal aims to approve the design specifications of yETH and recognize its deployment, designate the guidance and implementation process, specify parameters and initial configurations, and designate functions during normal operations. The proposal will close on April 26 at 21:20.Yearn ETH (yETH) is generated when users deposit a basket of various ETH liquid staking tokens (LSD). yETH can reclaim the deposited value and earn Ethereum PoS staking rewards through the diversification of LSD during staking, achieving a more mixed risk/reward profile. yETH will address challenges such as the impact of decentralized and hedged ETH positions to reduce the effects of protocol failure, trading opportunities arising from market pricing inefficiencies that affect the underlying supported ETH value of the protocol, the suboptimal nature of collateralized ETH in standard liquidity pools, and competition from new LSDs with significant market share.
