Three former Twitter executives sue X and Musk for $53 million in severance pay
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, X (formerly Twitter) and Elon Musk are facing legal action again. Three former Twitter executives, Sarah Personette, James Sullivan, and Dalana Brand, filed a lawsuit on September 6 in the Northern District of California federal court, claiming they were improperly denied over $53 million in severance pay.The plaintiffs allege that their roles would "substantially and irrevocably change" after Musk's acquisition, and therefore they had "good reason" to resign and should receive severance pay. The lawsuit accuses Musk and Twitter of employing dishonest and deceptive tactics to evade obligations, including abruptly cutting off the plaintiffs' access to offices and computer systems, requiring participation in internal investigations without pay, and suddenly terminating them over Thanksgiving weekend on the grounds of "for cause."Each plaintiff is seeking compensation amounts ranging from $14 million to $21.8 million, along with payments under the restricted stock unit agreements.
