This security incident was caused by an individual, and both parties have reached an agreement. In return, Stars Arena paid this person a 10% bounty (26,610 AVAX) plus the 1000 AVAX lost in the cross-chain bridge, totaling 27,610 AVAX. Preliminary statistics show that Stars Arena lost a total of 266,104 AVAX, and has successfully recovered 239,493 AVAX.Previous report, the hacker involved in the Stars Arena attack left a message on-chain last night saying, "I would like to cooperate," seemingly hoping to collaborate with the Stars Arena project team to discuss the handling of the stolen funds.

ChainCatcher news, SlowMist announced the release of the 2023 Mid-Year Blockchain Security and Anti-Money Laundering Report. The report indicates that there were a total of 185 security incidents in the first half of 2023, resulting in a loss of $920 million. This is a 54% decrease in losses compared to the first half of 2022, which saw 187 incidents causing approximately $2 billion in losses.Additionally, SlowMist stated that despite the increasing number of security vulnerabilities in the first half of 2023, there has been a positive trend with 10 cases of stolen funds successfully recovered.
