JPMorgan launches blockchain deposit accounts denominated in pounds to support on-chain payments in pounds
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, JPMorgan's blockchain division Kinexys (formerly known as Onyx) has launched a blockchain deposit account denominated in British pounds in the UK, marking a significant expansion of its real-time settlement infrastructure following the earlier launch of euro and dollar products.Currently, JPMorgan has allowed companies to make round-the-clock on-chain payments in British pounds (GBP), adding to its payment options in euros (EUR) and dollars (USD).It is reported that major companies such as SwapAgent and Trafigura on the London Stock Exchange are among the first to use JPMorgan's newly launched British pound blockchain accounts.
