Dymension mainnet launched, airdropping 70 million DYM tokens to Solana, Ethereum users, and others
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, the anticipated airdrop of the modular blockchain network Dymension in the Cosmos ecosystem will take place during the mainnet launch early Tuesday morning, providing 70 million DYM tokens to early users and specific communities, accounting for 7% of the total supply.Dymension refers to this airdrop as the "genesis rolldrop," available for over 1 million unique wallets across various chains and communities, including users on the Solana, Celestia, and Ethereum scaling networks. Certain communities can also participate in the airdrop, including holders of the popular Pudgy Penguins NFT series on Ethereum, as well as holders of the Mad Lads and Tensorians NFT series on Solana. While over 1 million wallets are eligible to claim these 700 million airdrop tokens, the claiming process began in January, and only 528,523 wallets ultimately submitted claims, meaning about half of the eligible users did not claim DYM, and these tokens were eventually redistributed to other users.Based on the total value of the distributed tokens, DYM is currently the second-largest token airdrop of 2024. At the current price of $5.199 per DYM, the total value of the airdropped tokens is approximately $364 million.
