The Japan Digital Agency will establish a Web3.0 Research Association DAO to study whether to grant legal entity status to DAOs

ChainCatcher news, according to Coinpost, the Digital Agency of Japan confirmed at the 5th Web3.0 Research Meeting the establishment of a DAO for the research group. Due to the unclear legal status of DAOs in Japan, the Digital Agency will investigate and analyze the issues and potential through actual participation in the DAO, and plans to study whether to grant legal entity status to the DAO.As specific measures for the DAO, the Digital Agency will consider whether to allow small and easily financed startups to raise funds through the DAO, as well as to promote the content industry and regional development by issuing NFTs and forming DAOs.In addition, the Web3.0 Research Group DAO will be participated by the Digital Agency of Japan and its members. The Digital Agency will be responsible for the operation and production of the DAO, collection of gas fees, distribution of tokens to members, voting, and other tasks, aiming to become a model and example for DAO organizations in Japan in the future. The tentative implementation period of the project will last until the end of the research group, but discussions will also be held based on circumstances and future judgments of the DAO.It is reported that the Digital Agency of Japan is the highest department responsible for administrative digitalization in the Japanese government, and established the Web3.0 Research Group at the end of September this year to further explore the appropriate posture of the economy, industry, and society aimed at Web3. The seminar will conclude by the end of this year, with a total of 10 meetings held. At the 5th Web3.0 Research Meeting, the Digital Agency discussed the advantages and risks of crypto assets, DeFi, NFTs, and the metaverse. (Coinpost)
