UniSat Wallet: A software package designed to provide actionable indexers for individuals without programming knowledge

ChainCatcher news, UniSat Wallet announced that it communicated its plans for an open-source indexing system a few weeks ago. Despite some delays due to special circumstances, UniSat is committed to keeping its promises. In May 2023, UniSat Wallet open-sourced the verification part of its indexer so that other developers could create new indexing solutions that align with the UniSat implementation. This initiative received a positive response from the community, and the cross-validation mechanism ensures that different indexers perform identically. The next step for UniSat Wallet is not just to open-source the indexer. In addition to open-sourcing the existing codebase, there are plans to provide a package that allows individuals without programming expertise to operate the indexer. This approach is similar to how Bitcoin miners set up their home mining rigs without development skills. This initiative will greatly enhance the decentralization of the brc-20 index. Prior to this, UniSat Wallet's index API has already been made freely available to all developers, benefiting over 400 developers. In the future, UniSat Wallet's open-source index will be fully accessible to the entire community, enabling any individual to easily operate the index, just like running a Bitcoin node. After completing the Ordinals Jubilee upgrade, UniSat Wallet plans to share more details and an expected timeline.
