ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, senior digital officials of the EU have committed to "actively" advancing the investigation into the X platform (formerly Twitter) to determine whether it has violated the Digital Services Act.The law aims to combat illegal and harmful content, with the investigation focusing on whether the X platform promotes far-right political content through algorithms. If violations are confirmed, the X platform could face fines of up to 6% of its global annual revenue. The European Commission stated that it will reach a conclusion as soon as possible in accordance with the law.

ChainCatcher news, according to Fortune, users of the platform X (formerly Twitter) owned by Elon Musk in Brazil may face a fine of 50,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 8,910 USD) per day if they bypass the ban to access the site, which far exceeds the monthly or yearly income of an average Brazilian worker. Currently, any user found accessing X through a virtual private network (VPN) may be subject to this penalty.
