Brazilian users face hefty fines exceeding their annual income for accessing X via VPN
ChainCatcher news, according to Fortune, users of the platform X (formerly Twitter) owned by Elon Musk in Brazil may face a fine of 50,000 Brazilian Reais (approximately 8,910 USD) per day if they bypass the ban to access the site, which far exceeds the monthly or yearly income of an average Brazilian worker. Currently, any user found accessing X through a virtual private network (VPN) may be subject to this penalty.
