Trump has raised over $4 million in campaign funds through cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin

ChainCatcher news, according to CNBC, former U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign aides revealed that Trump, as the Republican presidential candidate, has raised over $4 million from various digital tokens. According to a document from the Federal Election Commission, donors contributed Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple's XRP tokens, stablecoin USDC, and various meme coins.This report of over 1,000 pages shows the total fundraising amount of the "Trump 47" joint fundraising committee from April 1 to June 30. During this period, the committee raised over $118 million, and according to the document records, payments were made to Trump's campaign team, the Republican National Committee, and other party entities. The documents indicate that at least 19 donors contributed over $2.15 million in Bitcoin to the committee. The donors come from 12 states, including some states with intense campaigning. Their professions include homemakers, U.S. military officers, missionaries, painters, a sales representative from a pizza company, and a security technician from the State Department.Cryptocurrency billionaire twin brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss led the donations, each contributing 15.57 Bitcoins, which was valued at just over $1 million at the time of donation. Since their contributions exceeded the $844,600 limit, the documents show that part of the funds has been refunded. Mike Belshe, CEO of digital asset security company BitGo, donated $50,000 in Bitcoin.
