Wormhole Foundation Co-founder: Supports the points program, which can alleviate the workload of the team
ChainCatcher news, Wormhole Foundation co-founder Robinson Burkey shared some progress on social media regarding the W airdrop, which has been live for nearly 3 months. He mentioned that the anti-witch efforts conducted through Allium for over 5 months have been successful. After sorting through addresses to prevent witch attacks, 400,000 wallets from 26 different ecosystems qualified for the airdrop. Since Wormhole has been running for over 3 years, there was a significant amount of data to process, which took about 4 months. So far, the team has processed 265,476 airdrop claims.Burkey summarized, "I believe the best airdrops are those that are unexpected for users. However, I think we can no longer return to that simpler time and have to engage in points activities and witch wars. Points activities are like an understanding between the protocol and 'new users', where airdrop farming is acceptable. The question becomes whether the protocol can effectively support farmers in their farming efforts. I personally support points programs because they can alleviate the workload of the protocol team (i.e., reduce the time related to anti-witch efforts)."
