The Prague upgrade is another important technological iteration of Ethereum, following the Cancun upgrade in March 2024. It continues to optimize network performance, reduce transaction costs, and enhance the programmability of smart contracts. Compared to previous upgrades, the Prague upgrade not only involves adjustments to the underlying protocol but also includes a series of far-reaching EIPs (Ethereum Improvement Proposals).

The major Ethereum hard fork upgrade that occurs every 1-2 years will gradually radiate from itself to various Ethereum series L2s, and then expand to the development of multiple L1s. Each hard fork contains EIPs that represent the essence of the Ethereum core community, balancing benefits and costs.

From a technical perspective, let's take stock of the 11 EIPs for the Prague-EIP-Upgrade one by one.

The Ethereum All Core Developers Consensus Call (ACDE) is held every two weeks, primarily to discuss and coordinate changes to the Ethereum Execution Layer (EL). This is the 184th ACDE call, which focused on the reasons for the increase in missed block counts on March 27, as well as new research from the Paradigm team regarding Ethereum's state and historical growth.

The purpose of this article is to outline the Paradigm Reth team's views on which EIPs (Ethereum Improvement Proposals) should be included in Prague.
