ChainCatcher news, CryptoQuant founder and CEO Ki Young Ju posted on the X platform that after Kraken provided repayments to Mt.Gox creditors, its spot Bitcoin trading volume performed normally, indicating that Mt.Gox creditors are currently not selling Bitcoin in large quantities. Ki Young Ju pointed out that any price drop may stem from market sentiment rather than Mt.Gox-related sell-offs.

ChainCatcher news, according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin, Bitstamp announced that starting tomorrow (7/25), it will begin distributing BTC/BCH to creditors registered to receive compensation on Bitstamp. Currently, the amount of BTC to be distributed by Bitstamp is approximately 10,216 coins (680 million USD), which were transferred to Bitstamp from Mt.Gox addresses yesterday and today.

ChainCatcher news, Kraken CEO Dave Ripley stated on X that Kraken has successfully returned the Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash received from Mt.Gox to the Mt.Gox creditors. It has been nearly a decade since the trustee chose Kraken to facilitate the investigation and return of customer funds.

ChainCatcher message, multiple MT.GOX creditors located in Japan have stated that they have received BTC/BCH repayments from MT.GOX, and the funds have entered their exchange accounts at Bitbank or Kraken, with BCH in the Bitbank account showing as BCC. Additionally, some have reported that they have received cash payments sent via international wire transfer.
