According to ChainCatcher, a public opinion survey conducted by the Asahi Shimbun from April 19 to 20 shows that 85% of respondents are concerned that the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration will have a negative impact on the Japanese economy, with 43% of respondents expressing that they are very worried. 28% of respondents expressed hope for negotiations between the Japanese government and the U.S. government regarding tariff issues, while 70% of respondents expressed no hope.
