The first batch of Optimism representatives from a16z has been announced, including GFX Labs and six university blockchain associations
ChainCatcher news, a16z employee Ross Shuel tweeted to announce that the first batch of representatives from the Optimism Foundation participating in voting on behalf of a16z has been released. The list consists of 7 representatives, including GFX Labs and blockchain associations from six universities: the University of Southern California, Carnegie Mellon University, Purdue University, North Carolina State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Northeastern University. Each representative will receive a delegation of 1 million OP tokens, expected to be completed by the end of March.Shuel stated that a16z evaluated potential representatives based on 9 key criteria and signed legal agreements with the selected representatives, ensuring that they will not control the delegated votes. Unless there are rare legal exceptions, the delegation will be maintained for at least 6 months. Currently, applications for the second batch of Optimism representatives from a16z are open.
