Chain Catcher news, the decentralized communication platform Satellite IM has announced the launch of the initial version of its desktop application, allowing people to quickly and efficiently send messages, video chat, and share large files while controlling their own data. The application utilizes the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) for decentralized file pinning and storage, and will support 4K video chatting and streaming, lossless audio, and 4GB file sharing capabilities.At the same time, Satellite IM will open source the application’s code to attract developers who wish to customize and continuously improve features in the new Web3 space.According to previous reports, Satellite IM is a decentralized communication platform that enables peer-to-peer private messaging. It completed a $10.5 million seed round financing in early August, led by Framework and Multicoin.
