Decentralized communication software OpenChat has completed over $5.5 million in crowdfunding, and platform control will be handed over to the community

ChainCatcher news, the decentralized communication software OpenChat based on the DFINITY Internet Computer raised over $5.5 million in a crowdfunding sale last week. The token sale had 2,375 participants, allowing them to purchase OpenChat's native governance token CHAT to form a DAO.

The OpenChat team stated that after this token sale, the platform will be owned and controlled by the token holder community, and the new funds raised from the token "decentralized sale" will be stored in OpenChat's DAO Treasury, where token holders will decide how to best utilize them.
