Ryan said, "Steering this complex ship called Ethereum has been an all-consuming experience, and while it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, I am ready to let it go and make space for other things."Ryan served as the chief coordinator for Ethereum's transition to the proof-of-stake consensus system The Merge and oversaw the launch of the beacon chain in 2021, contributing to the Ethereum Foundation's blog, including progress updates on Ethereum Improvement Proposals.
