Ansari, who previously served as the Deputy Mayor of Phoenix, will be competing in a strongly Democratic district in the general election, making her a likely candidate to become one of the congressional representatives advocating for friendly regulation of the U.S. digital asset industry.The major political action committee in the cryptocurrency industry, Fairshake, provided approximately $1.4 million in advertising support for Ansari's campaign, which drew strong criticism from her opponents.Fairshake spokesperson Josh Vlasto stated, "We are proud to support a leader like her in Congress who will work across the aisle, embrace innovation, and promote economic growth." So far, Fairshake has funded up to 21 congressional campaigns.
