CESS is a decentralized cloud storage network and CDN network based on blockchain, supporting online data storage and real-time sharing, providing a full-stack solution for the storage and retrieval of high-frequency dynamic data in Web3, contributing a new paradigm for the storage, retrieval, and distribution of Web3 data in the industry, achieving truly usable large-scale commercial storage. CESS actively collaborates with well-known enterprises and institutions in Web2 and Web3, as well as top universities worldwide, to jointly build a decentralized data value network.

From the 22nd to the 24th of this month, CESS was active in American universities, engaging in offline communication and exchanges with students:

From March 22nd to 23rd, CESS exhibited at the Duke Web3 Conference (DW3C), marking CESS's second invitation to sponsor DW3C by Duke University.

From the 23rd to the 24th, CESS co-hosted the LIVE AI Hackathon with renowned institutions Duke University and Harvard University, participating in the offline showcase of the hackathon on campus.

Our innovative technologies and university-enterprise resources in the Web3 and Web2 fields can provide rich resources and extensive industry connections for universities and enterprises, developing more collaborative opportunities with globally renowned companies and institutions. CESS is committed to promoting the construction of a decentralized data value network, aligning with the decentralized vision recognized by Native Web3ers. Our decentralized storage + CDN technology also aligns with the research directions of many universities, and the shared vision and goals make CESS an ideal partner for universities worldwide. Let’s take a moment to review the highlights of CESS at these two events.

Duke Web3 Conference

The Duke Web3 Conference is a high-end conference that brings together experts, scholars, and industry leaders in the Web3 field, aiming to explore cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, decentralized finance (DeFi), and decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN). This year's DW3C focused on zero-knowledge proofs, trust and identity, and the tokenization of real-world assets, sharing how these innovations will pave the way for recovery. It also discussed how to use games and art as initial use cases, synchronizing physical and digital, with attendees gaining insights from Duke University's founders and venture capitalists on the latest trends in construction and investment.

CESS is honored to participate in the roundtable discussion of this conference alongside globally renowned consulting firm PwC and global asset management company T. Rowe Price. During the discussion, CESS Co-founder & Network Security Architect Joseph shared unique perspectives and insights with attendees. The rapid growth of DePIN's market value is primarily due to its alignment with market and technological trends towards decentralization. The demand for decentralized solutions across multiple fields, including storage, computing, and networking, continues to grow, significantly driving its market value. The more efficient, secure, and user-empowering infrastructure provided by DePIN perfectly aligns with these trends, facilitating its market expansion.

As part of the DePIN ecosystem, CESS provides innovative solutions in decentralized storage and content distribution networks. Through unique technologies and mechanisms, CESS enhances data security, availability, and accessibility, ensuring user data sovereignty and privacy, and realizing the value of user data. Currently, CESS has established collaborations with prominent projects in the Web3 and Web2 fields, such as AWS and Polkadot, and will continue to contribute to the development and growth of DePIN.

The DW3C conference invited well-known Web3 companies as speakers, and attendees included eager students and numerous Web3 enthusiasts and practitioners. The event was held at Duke University, where CESS not only participated in the roundtable discussions but also showcased projects to attendees.

Students who visited the CESS booth at last year's Duke University DW3C also engaged with CESS again at other events in the U.S. this year, which not only indicates their continued interest in CESS's technology and philosophy but also reflects the good reputation CESS has established in the academic and technical communities. This year's DW3C once again provided us with an opportunity for exchange, reuniting with friends we met last year and reflecting on each other's growth and changes over the past year. We also met a new group of friends who brought fresh perspectives and ideas, providing CESS with more inspiration and motivation. Through such exchanges and interactions, we not only showcased the latest technologies and achievements in the Web3 field but also gained a better understanding of the needs and expectations of university students, further promoting the innovation and application of CESS technology.

This ongoing communication and collaboration not only deepens the connection between CESS and university students but also reflects CESS's efforts and contributions to promoting decentralized technology education and innovation, receiving widespread recognition and support from the academic community. We look forward to exploring and advancing the development of Web3 technology together with more university students in the future, making greater contributions to building a more open, secure, and efficient data economy.

LIVE AI 1 Joint Duke-Harvard Hackathon

The LIVE AI 1 Joint Duke-Harvard Hackathon is a cross-campus hybrid hackathon aimed at inviting developers, designers, and creatives from diverse backgrounds to collaboratively design and develop innovative projects in artificial intelligence, blockchain/Web3, and Fintech. As one of the co-hosts, CESS collaborates with Duke University and Harvard University to promote the event, while also receiving support from Ivy League institutions such as MIT, Brown, Princeton, and Columbia, attracting talents from top universities worldwide.

Not only universities are united; well-known companies and institutions in the Web2 and Web3 fields, such as Tech Tree Root, Amazon, and OKX, also actively facilitated this hackathon. CESS shares a common vision with these universities and enterprises to promote the healthy development of a decentralized internet, advancing technological innovation and talent cultivation through this event.

The event is divided into three venues: Duke University (LIVE AI Duke) offline, Harvard University (LIVE AI Harvard) offline, and global online (LIVE AI Global), with the three communities interconnected through panel discussions and event agendas. The CESS team participated in LIVE AI Duke and LIVE AI Harvard at Duke University and Harvard University, experiencing a complete face-to-face hackathon experience with the participating teams, and conducted on-site evaluations and award ceremonies.

LIVE AI Global will conduct online evaluations from March 24th to April 7th, with an online award ceremony on April 7th. Please continue to follow CESS and other organizers for updates on the event's progress.

Why CESS

So, under the premise that large-scale adoption in the Web3 field has not yet been realized and has not entered the mainstream environment, why was CESS able to establish good cooperative relationships with universities years ago?

Firstly, it is CESS's responsibility and commitment to contribute to the long-term development and healthy growth of the industry. Against the backdrop of rapid digitalization, Web3, as the next generation of the internet, not only represents technological advancement but also heralds a new paradigm for data processing and online interaction. CESS understands that to stay ahead in this transformation, it must fundamentally cultivate and attract more native Web3 talents (Native Web3ers), and higher education institutions are undoubtedly fertile ground for talent cultivation. Universities are incubators of innovative ideas and cutting-edge technologies, gathering a large number of potential young talents. By collaborating with universities, CESS can directly engage with a student body passionate about Web3 technology, exploring practical applications of technologies such as blockchain, decentralized storage, and smart contracts, and delivering more native strength to the industry.

CESS has demonstrated a firm determination and capability in promoting Web3 technology innovation and educational development, fulfilling its commitment to support education and cultivate the next generation of Web3 developers and builders. A good university-enterprise partnership is conducive to promoting the development and progress of blockchain technology, laying a solid foundation for building the future decentralized data value network.

At the same time, through deep participation in DW3C and LIVE AI, CESS has showcased its profound strength and innovative capabilities in the Web3 technology field. CESS's decentralized storage and CDN technology provide effective solutions to current data security and privacy protection issues in networks, meet the demand for large-scale commercial storage, and support high-frequency dynamic data in Web3. CESS will continue to focus on technological innovation, strengthen cooperation with top academic institutions and industry leaders worldwide, promote the monetization of data and the free flow/sharing of data value, and build a prosperous, diverse, and sovereign data economy new ecosystem.
