CESS successfully completed the third grant proposal application to W3F
On February 27, 2023, the Cumulus Encrypted Storage System (CESS) completed the delivery of the third Grant proposal submitted to the Web3 Foundation (W3F) --- the General Substats Lightweight Blockchain Explorer Framework.
This proposal was submitted on September 27, 2022, with the first milestone "Implementation of Backend Infrastructure" completed on November 27, 2022, the second milestone "Implementation of Data Processing Tools" completed on January 27, 2023, and the third milestone "Completion of Frontend Components" completed on February 27, 2023.
The successful completion of this Grant proposal provides a flexible, free, and lightweight blockchain explorer development framework Substats for the CESS network and other projects in the Substrate ecosystem. Substats easily achieves customized visual presentation of the explorer through modular UI components, reducing development costs and difficulties while enhancing and optimizing the user experience of blockchain explorers. We detailed the advantages of Substats in on-chain data caching and retrieval, data processing modules, etc. in our article "CESS Chooses Substats to Provide Users with the Best Blockchain Explorer Experience," explaining the implementation principles of Substats. As a high-speed, secure, and scalable decentralized cloud storage network infrastructure developed based on Substrate, CESS continues to delve into Substrate technology, providing more innovative technologies and product tools.
CESS Participates in W3F's Continuous Innovation and Contribution
The Web3 Foundation Grant is a funding program initiated by the Web3 Foundation, founded by Polkadot's creator Gavin Wood, aimed at supporting outstanding projects in the Web3 ecosystem and promoting their development. Since its launch in 2019, the program has funded over hundreds of projects, including well-known Polkadot parachain projects such as Phala, Bifrost, and Acala.
CESS applied for its first Grant proposal in September 2021 and completed the delivery of three milestones within the Grant in January 2022, with the goal of building the infrastructure for a decentralized cloud data network based on blockchain. Throughout the delivery of all milestones, CESS demonstrated its advantages as a decentralized cloud storage infrastructure: CESS inherently possesses good compatibility and interoperability with Substrate ecosystem projects, becoming an important member of the Substrate ecosystem and the entire Web3 field, providing infrastructure for enterprise-level, large-scale commercial applications in Web3.
On March 7, 2022, CESS applied for a second Grant proposal to develop a storage pallet for Substrate, which completed the delivery of three milestones in July of the same year. After successfully completing the development of the storage "toolkit" and integrating it into the Substrate "tool library," it can bring more ecological participants to the Substrate ecosystem and increase the frequency of storage usage. CESS can not only provide storage services for the Substrate ecosystem but also enhance the efficiency of building its own future CESS ecosystem.
CESS Supports the Substrate Ecosystem
Adhering to the development philosophy consistent with the Web3 Foundation, CESS will leverage storage technology to support the Substrate ecosystem, providing decentralized object storage services and development tools for ecological projects and dapp teams, offering infrastructure for user data rights confirmation, privacy protection, data monetization, and free circulation, becoming the cornerstone of storage in the Web3 era!
Please continue to follow CESS, and we look forward to more technological innovations and ecological contributions in the future!
