Recently, the first Web3 hackathon in Japan, "TWSH," initiated by Cryptogram Venture (CGV) and supported by experts from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, Keio University, Sony, SoftBank, Asia Blockchain Gaming Alliance (ABGA), Cointelegraph Japan (CTJ), and other institutions, has successfully concluded. After a joint evaluation by the competition review committee and nearly fifty institutions, a total of 9 projects from different tracks stood out.

The following are the 9 winning projects of the "Tokyo Web3 Summer Hackathon (TWSH)" (listed in alphabetical order):

1. Cat Paradise

A pet social network created in Web 3.0.

2. EstateTrader

EstateTrader empowers the metaverse around content, ecology, and liquidity, creating a dedicated issuance platform and aggregated trading market in the metaverse.

3. HANGOUT METAVERSE

Hangout is a decentralized multi-chain metaverse platform that provides visual infrastructure, APIs, SDKs, etc., to facilitate the sustainable development of NFTs, DeFi, GameFi, and various protocols in one place.

4. Mechaverse

A strategy game in the metaverse for the Web3 era.

5. Multiverse Play

MVP is a decentralized NFT post-investment management platform that connects users and assets in Web3, including players, NFT holders, guilds, and developers, providing smart matching, task scheduling, asset management, and high liquidity.

6. Passpay(JPYW)

JPYW, launched by PassPay Co., Ltd., is a prepaid token that can be purchased and used on the PassPay official website at a price of 1 yen = 1 JPYW, ensuring a 1:1 peg with the yen through a margin mechanism, classified as a currency-denominated asset.

7. StarryNift

StarryNift is a gamified NFT incubation platform for creating, collecting, auctioning, and trading digital collectibles.

8. SWAGGA

SWAGGA is a physical fashion metaverse centered around Swag-To-Earn (S2E) and F.A.S (Fashion, Entertainment, Social), focusing not only on creating an engaging virtual world but also on providing an immersive e-commerce platform for fashion enthusiasts.

9. zkPass

A privacy-protecting decentralized KYC solution based on MPC (Multi-Party Computation) and ZKP (Zero-Knowledge Proof).

The winning projects of the "Tokyo Web3 Summer Hackathon (TWSH)" will share the prize pool, and some favored projects will also receive investments from investment institutions and support from local resources in Japan.

The "TWSH" competition welcomes traditional internet developers and blockchain developers worldwide who are interested in Web3, as well as innovative and creative developers, engineers, product managers, UI designers, etc., to register. Winners will have the opportunity to receive investments and entrepreneurial guidance from top global VC institutions, as well as support from incubation funds.
