China and Singapore will mutually exempt visas starting from February 9
ChainCatcher news, representatives of the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Singapore signed the "Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Singapore on Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports" in Beijing. The agreement will officially take effect on February 9, 2024 (Lunar New Year's Eve).At that time, holders of ordinary passports from both sides can enter each other's countries visa-free for tourism, family visits, business, and other private matters, with a stay not exceeding 30 days. Activities such as work and news reporting that require prior approval, as well as stays exceeding 30 days in the other country, must obtain the appropriate visa before entering the other country.
