The Bankrbot development team adjusted the system to stop responding to Grok commands to terminate its unintended token creation behavior
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the development team of the tool Bankrbot, which allows X users to issue meme coins directly on the platform, has readjusted the system and stopped responding to commands from the AI model Grok developed by Elon Musk's xAI. Previously, the interaction between Grok and Bankrbot had led to the creation of 17 tokens, among which the most notable DRB token once had a market value exceeding 30 million dollars. The incident began in early March when user @coin_domin requested Grok to provide token name suggestions for Bankrbot on the X platform. Grok suggested creating "DebtReliefBot" (DRB), and Bankrbot subsequently executed the request, issuing the token through the automatic token deployment tool Clanker on the Base blockchain.According to on-chain data, wallets associated with Grok have accumulated over 500,000 dollars in fees from these transactions. The anonymous founder of Bankrbot stated that the wallet will soon reach millionaire status. However, due to concerns about Grok's inability to responsibly manage its own wallet and protect funds, the developers decided to cut off the response mechanism to Grok's commands.
