Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio: The current tariff issue is merely a symptom of the collapse of the global order
ChainCatcher news, Bridgewater founder Ray Dalio warned in a social media post that the current market is overly focused on tariff issues while neglecting the deeper systemic crisis behind it.Dalio pointed out that we are experiencing a typical collapse of monetary, political, and geopolitical order, a situation that usually occurs only once in a lifetime. This is manifested in: excessively high levels of debt, unsustainable trade capital imbalances, the decline of U.S. manufacturing, domestic political polarization, and the rise of U.S. unilateralism.Dalio believes that these changes are part of a historical cycle and calls on policymakers to understand these forces to formulate better policies. He emphasized that the current tariff dispute is merely a manifestation of these larger transformative forces, not the root cause.
