ChainCatcher news, according to citynews, the University of Waterloo announced that it has received a grant of 1 million USD (1.4 million CAD) from Interop Labs.This funding will help increase its research fund and establish a new artificial intelligence and blockchain research laboratory at the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, which will be called the "GENESIS Lab." The lab will provide 12 PhD positions and 6 undergraduate scholarships through the student-run organization Waterloo Blockchain.
