ChainCatcher news, the Central Bank of Iran has officially announced the launch of a pilot program for the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) digital rial. As part of the pilot, the Iranian digital currency will be available to bank customers and tourists on Kish Island. The pilot program will start on June 21, which is the first day of the Islamic month of Tammuz.
