ChainCatcher message, the Eigen Foundation stated on X that the first reward claim date for Programmatic Incentive v1 has been postponed by one week to October 15, 2024, to ensure that only eligible non-investor EIGEN stakers and qualified operators can receive programmatic rewards for their activities prior to transferability (i.e., for the period up to September 30, 2024).

ChainCatcher news, EigenLayer announces the upcoming launch of a new protocol feature "Programmatic Incentives v1". This feature will start distributing newly minted EIGEN tokens as rewards to eligible stakers and their delegated operators on a weekly basis beginning in October 2024. These incentives will be retroactive based on staking activity since August 15, 2024.In the first year, Programmatic Incentives v1 will distribute approximately 66,945,866 EIGEN, which is 4% of the initial supply of EIGEN tokens (approximately 1,673,646,668 tokens). Of this, 3% will be allocated to ETH and LST stakers and operators, while 1% will be allocated to EIGEN stakers and operators.To qualify for programmatic incentives, operators must register at least one AVS, and stakers must delegate to an operator that has registered at least one AVS.Programmatic rewards will be available for claim every Wednesday at 3 AM Beijing time.
