All trading and transfers on Coinbase Pro and Coinbase Exchange will be suspended 1 hour before the downtime begins. The downtime is expected to take 8 hours to complete, divided into two phases: technical system upgrade and trading restart.The technical system upgrade will take up to 4 hours, during which the exchange will enter maintenance mode. The Websocket Feed will still be available, but no new data will be published, and users will not be able to log into their accounts or access funds. Coinbase will also not modify or cancel customer orders during this period. After the technical system upgrade is completed, all functions of the exchange, except for trading, will be restarted.The second phase, the trading restart, will take up to 4 hours. Order book trading will be gradually re-enabled through a price discovery auction process. During this period, all order books will be in auction mode, and customers can place limit orders and view the indicative opening price generated. After the bidding is completed, cross orders will be matched at the opening price, and the order book will switch to limit or full trading mode.
