ZetaChain releases version 2.0, proposing the first universal EVM implementation for full chain abstraction
ChainCatcher news, May 15, cross-chain interoperability project ZetaChain announced its 2.0 version upgrade plan, proposing a series of potential upgrades to achieve the first universal Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and full chain abstraction. This version introduces new features such as universal Proof of Stake (PoS) and universal App, aimed at automating complex cross-chain interactions. The main upgrades of ZetaChain 2.0 include:Composable cross-chain messaging, simplifying multi-step cross-chain transactions;Full-chain accounts, allowing contracts on ZetaChain to interact with native contracts on connected chains;Universal PoS, enabling the staking of assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, etc., to enhance network security;Expanded Bitcoin compatibility, supporting more Bitcoin script types;Integration of the IBC protocol, introducing new potential use cases for the IBC ecosystem. These upgrade plans proposed and developed by the community are actively being advanced in ZetaChain's public node codebase. If approved through on-chain governance voting, they will be officially launched in future network upgrades. ZetaChain is committed to enabling users to easily and quickly use applications across all blockchains, regardless of which chain they are on, through full chain abstraction.
