ChainCatcher news, as reported by Bitcoin Magazine, Twitter founder Jack Dorsey gave a speech in Italy discussing how Bitcoin can become a permissionless free currency, stating that Bitcoin may complement or replace the all-dominating dollar.

Clearly, the issue we have encountered recently is that gas fees for all Bitcoin users are increasing: everyone who needs to conduct 'normal' transactions and make payments has found their transaction costs rising.However, we cannot control how Bitcoin is used, nor can we make 'right' and 'wrong' judgments. If a feature exists, then users have the right to use it. Bitcoin will always remain secure; it is the safest solution available to us—and thanks to solutions like the Lightning Network, it still has scalability.
