Turkey's Garanti BBVA collaborates with IBM and Ripple to develop digital asset custody
ChainCatcher news, Turkey's Garanti BBVA Bank launched Garanti BBVA Digital Assets last year as part of its fintech subsidiary. The company launched its wallet in June and has now confirmed it is using a combination of Ripple Custody and IBM's technology.Garanti BBVA has updated the status of its digital asset products. Garanti BBVA Kripto CEO Korcan Abalı stated, "We have seen a clear demand and growing interest from customers in digital assets. To meet this demand, we established Garanti BBVA Digital Assets in 2023, currently providing services under the name Garanti BBVA Kripto for BTC, ETH, USDC, AVAX, CHZ, XRP, ARB, and SOL."So far, it has 14,000 digital asset customers, serving a main bank of 12 million digital customers and 11.6 million mobile customers.
