ChainCatcher news, the Ethereum L2 project Metis announces that the second phase of the decentralized sequencer is about to launch, which will implement sequencer mining. Users will be able to lock METIS through Artemis and ENKI to earn a share of the network revenue and receive METIS LST that can be further used within Metis.

ChainCatcher news, Metis announced that it will activate a hard fork at block 16,500,000 in about 7 days to complete the second phase of the decentralized sequencer upgrade. Metis previously achieved the addition of multiple nodes to the sequencer pool and introduced sequencer rotation in the first phase, significantly enhancing the network's censorship resistance and vitality.It is reported that the second phase of this upgrade will introduce features such as multiple transactions within a single block, transaction pools, and sequencer rewards, making Metis the first Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution to achieve sequencer decentralization.
