ChainCatcher news, SwapKit.dev announced that Ledger has integrated the first decentralized cross-chain exchange protocol THORChain into the Ledger Live app. Ledger Live users can now seamlessly swap native assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum with complete security on their Ledger devices, with their private keys protected by top-notch encryption technology.This integration is made possible by SwapKit's innovative cross-chain software development kit and infrastructure solutions. With the THORChain integration, Ledger users can perform cross-chain swaps for BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, DAI, and WBTC, with support for more ERC-20 tokens coming soon. ChainCatcher message, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated on social media that, in my opinion, synchronous atomic composability is overrated.For example, think about some specific cross-L2 things you are doing or envisioning that could be more seamless.For me, the two most important things are:I have coins on Optimism, and I want to pay Bob, but Bob is only on Arbitrum.I have coins on Taiko, and I want to use a dapp on Polygon, so I need to send to Polygon to use that dapp.These are not fancy problems that can be solved just by addressing the synchronization issue. These user experience issues can be resolved in the following ways:(i) Widely adopt ERC-3770, making the chain part of the address, thus making the address once again a self-contained "how you pay me" identifier;(ii) Cross-L2 exchange protocols (like ERC-7683), allowing for programmatic cross-chain sending without getting tangled up in which specific intermediaries to trust and which APIs to connect;(iii) Wallet integration, so that you can simply put the recipient's ERC-3770 address into a text box to complete the cross-chain sending, just like you do for a regular send now.

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the cross-chain exchange protocol Gasp (formerly Mangata Finance) based on EigenLayer announced the completion of a $5 million private fundraising at a valuation of $80 million, with participation from Polychain Capital, CMS Holdings, Master Ventures, Token Metrics, and Cluster Capital.Gasp plans to launch a testnet in the coming weeks and aims to enter the mainnet and launch its token after a successful test. They also plan to introduce a new token GASP and airdrop it to some MGX token holders.
