The Arweave computing network AO testnet has officially launched, and Permaswap has announced that it will be the first DEX to support AO tokens

ChainCatcher news, at 1 PM Eastern Time on February 27, Forward Research, the core organization of the Arweave ecosystem, held an online launch event to officially introduce AO, a decentralized parallel computing layer based on the Arweave permanent storage network. Nearly 300 ecosystem members from this ecosystem were invited to participate in the event. Arweave founder Sam Williams provided detailed information about AO at the meeting and announced the opening of the testnet. Currently, developers who want to participate in the testnet can access specific details through https://ao.arweave.dev/.After the testnet launch, major projects in the Arweave ecosystem, including everPay, MEM, Warp, and Permaswap, have announced plans to connect to the AO test network to expand their capabilities. The decentralized exchange (DEX) Permaswap in the Arweave ecosystem stated that it will be the first platform to launch $AO token trading, marking further expansion of the Arweave ecosystem in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. It is understood that AO is a decentralized computer capable of running an arbitrary number of processes (programs) in parallel. It uses Arweave as a shared information transmission layer, allowing processes running on the AO computing network to interact with any other processes in the network without permission through this layer. In addition, the Arweave ecosystem has established a market affiliate in Asia, ArweaveOasis, which will focus on serving the development of the Asian market, especially the Chinese-speaking market, in the future.
