Chainlink is launching a new platform that allows developers to build Web3 applications using Web 2.0 APIs from AWS and Meta
ChainCatcher news, according to TechCrunch, Chainlink is launching a self-service serverless platform to help developers connect their decentralized applications (dApps) or smart contracts to any Web 2.0 API. Chainlink Labs Chief Product Officer Kemal El Moujahid told TechCrunch that the new platform, Chainlink Functions, also allows builders to run customizable computations on Web 2.0 APIs through its network in just a few minutes.El Moujahid stated, "Our goal is to empower developers to combine the best of Web3 smart contracts with the powerful capabilities of Web 2.0 APIs, creating a huge opportunity to build the best applications that integrate smart contracts and Web 2.0." The new platform also supports more widely used programming languages like JavaScript, so developers new to Web3 can enter the space. It will also provide integrations with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Meta, and other services.The platform is currently in beta mode on the Ethereum and Polygon testnets. Chainlink plans to expand its capabilities to more blockchains, add new integrations and tools, and launch on the mainnet "as soon as possible." (source link)
