Polygon ID has separated from Polygon Labs and is now operating independently under the new name Privado ID
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Polygon ID has spun off from Polygon Labs to operate independently and has been renamed Privado ID. Privado ID aims to expand beyond the Polygon network.Privado ID is designed by the team behind the Iden3 protocol and PolygonID, enabling individuals to control their own data, using cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs to verify their age, qualifications, and other details without sharing personal information. The project states that it also supports W3C identity standards and can be used with any EVM-compatible blockchain, with plans to support non-EVM blockchains in the future. The Privado ID team includes Polygon co-founders David Schwartz and Antoni Martin serving as CEO and COO, respectively, Jordi Baylina (a key figure in the development of Polygon zkEVM) serving as a technical advisor, and Polygon Labs co-founder Sandeep Nailwal serving as a growth advisor.
