Meter.io will release the Supernova Core consensus engine compatible with Cosmos SDK
ChainCatcher news, the public chain team Meter.io announced the upcoming release of a Cosmos SDK compatible consensus engine, Supernova Core. Supernova Core adopts the HotStuff-2 consensus, optimized for scenarios that require high-performance public chains and decentralized L2, addressing many scalability and decentralization issues faced by developers building on Cosmos, perfectly balancing the needs for decentralization and performance. The Cosmos SDK combined with Supernova Core allows developers to quickly launch high-performance L1 or decentralized L2, similar to Ethereum L2. The Meter team revealed that the blockchain liquidity infrastructure project Sumer.money will launch the Supernova Core testnet.Previously, Sumer.money has received investments from multiple VCs including Pantera, and supports various ecosystems such as Etherum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, and Meter.
