Rocket Pool will conduct the Atlas upgrade on April 13, and 8 ETH is required for node staking
ChainCatcher message, the Ethereum liquid staking protocol Rocket Pool will undergo the Atlas upgrade on April 13, allowing node staking with just 8 ETH (subject to Rocket Pool requirements). The features of this Atlas upgrade include improved protocol efficiency, higher rewards for node operators, increased rETH capacity, and it remains completely permissionless. The most important feature of Atlas is the Rocket Pool validator node Minipools LEB8's. Currently, when node operators wish to create a mini pool, they must provide 16 ETH and receive 16 ETH on behalf of the protocol, which means a 32 ETH staking validator needs to be created on Ethereum. With the introduction of LEB8, the required amount will be reduced from 16 ETH to 8 ETH. (source link)
