ChainCatcher news, HTX Ventures announced a strategic investment in Monad Labs. The collaboration between the two parties will drive innovation in the Web3 ecosystem. It is reported that Monad Labs raised $225 million in this funding round, with a valuation of $3 billion, led by Paradigm, with participation from investment firms such as HTX Ventures, Electric Capital, and Castle Island Ventures.Monad Labs is a tech startup founded by a former team from traditional finance giant Jump Trading, aimed at building a scalable smart contract distributed ledger. Monad Labs is committed to building a layer one blockchain to challenge competitors like Solana and Sui. The Monad blockchain is set to launch its testnet in the coming months, with plans to deploy the mainnet later this year.

ChainCatcher news, Layer1 blockchain Sei announced the upcoming launch of the Sei V2 upgrade, becoming a parallelized EVM blockchain. New features include backward compatibility for EVM smart contracts, reusability of widely used applications and tools (such as MetaMask), optimistic parallelization, SeiDB (improvements to the storage layer), and interoperability with existing chains (allowing seamless combinations between EVM and any other execution environment supported by Sei).Sei stated that Sei V2 will provide a throughput of 28,300 batch transactions per second, along with a block time of 390 milliseconds and finality of 390 milliseconds. The major upgrade of Sei is currently nearing code completion. After the audit is completed, this upgrade will be released on the public testnet in the first quarter of 2024 and will be deployed to the mainnet in the first half of 2024.
