Polkadot has released its latest roadmap, expecting that asynchronous support features will enable TPS to reach 1-1 million

Chain Catcher news, Polkadot co-founder Rob Habermeier announced the latest roadmap for Polkadot on the official blog, which includes the deployment of asynchronous support features on Kusama by the end of the year, followed by deployment on the mainnet. This feature can reduce the block time of parachains to 6 seconds, increase the available space per block by 5-10 times, and allow parachain blocks to be "reused" if they do not enter the relay chain on the first attempt. This update is expected to bring the total TPS capacity of the network to between 100,000 and 1,000,000 without affecting the security guarantees made by the network. In addition, Polkadot plans to launch the parachain threads feature in the first or second quarter of 2023, which allows parachains to temporarily participate in Polkadot's security, launching blockchains without participating in auctions and renting dedicated parachain slots. In mid-October 2022, Weights V2 was put into use, introducing the concept of multidimensional weights, which not only measures execution time but also the amount of state accessed by specific operations. A new governance system is set to be deployed on Kusama in early Q4 of this year, embodying the ability of the Polkadot chain's governance mechanism to self-upgrade. There are plans to launch a dispute reduction feature for the staking module by the end of the year, where validators submitting invalid parachain blocks will have their entire token share slashed.
