Mythical Games accuses former executive of raising $150 million for personal projects using company secrets
ChainCatcher news, the blockchain gaming studio Mythical Games has filed a lawsuit, accusing three former executives of using company secrets to raise $150 million for their new project Fenix Games after leaving the company, in violation of their fiduciary duties. The three former executives being sued are Mythical Games co-founder Rudy Koch, former Senior Vice President of Strategy and Investment Chris Ko, and former Chief Operating Officer and Head of Game Studios and Publishing Matthew Nutt.Mythical Games claims it had tasked the three former executives with raising funds for a new fund called Mythical Ventures and connected them with Cypher Capital from the United Arab Emirates. However, the three executives did not secure an investment from Cypher Capital for Mythical Ventures, but instead used Mythical Games' business plan to persuade Cypher Capital to invest in another project, a blockchain game "launch platform" Fenix Games, which was announced just weeks after the three executives left Mythical Games. Fenix Games has already raised $150 million from Cypher Capital and Phoenix Group. (source link)
